Pitches

Pitch 1: A man reading a book seems to be telling the story of his own life, though he doesn’t think he's ever met the author.       Pitch 2: After a long day at work a man comes home and starts sleeping only to wake up in the morning from a nightmare where he was murdered. Not keeping mind of the nightmare he goes to work and continues his daily life only to realize that he is living the nightmare he dreamt and he must kill the murderer to stop the concurring torment and go back to his daily life.       Pitch 3: A boy and a girl are shipwrecked after an unexpected storm. They find themselves on an island where they are forced to spend their first night together under the stars.       We decided to choose pitch 1 because the story has the most interesting plot with the most potential to be expanded into a 5 minute film. Also since the 1st pitch is very attention grabbing it will be a way better outcome of a film than the other 2 pitches. A mystery genre is way more fascinatin

For my projects this year, I will be working with Maximus Macelaru and Jibril Alkishawi. We are all 11th graders at Fort Lauderdale High. They are both friends of mine and we are all very excited to begin working. Max is 16, while Jibril and I are 15. This comes in handy, since Max can drive and we can move to film without needing all of our parents to drive us. I love the idea of this newfound independence. It also helps that we all live very close to each other in the same city of Hollywood. It is only a 10 minute drive between us. This means it will be easier for us all to be present. We also have a good idea of our local community, which could give us ideas for our media production. We all have contacts and phones numbers together, as well as several group chats. Each of us are ver

It Begins Again....

Hello again, my name is Alec Zamudio. As of now, I am 15 years old and am in 11th grade at Fort Lauderdale High School. My favorite subjects right now are Science and English. I have learned so much already in just this one month of the new school year. Today is the beginning of my journey in AICE Media A level. After last year's experience in AS, I definitely know what to expect and how to approach the course in more meaningful way. Last year was an extreme transition back to a "normal school." Coming back completely from the COVID-19 epidemic with no restrictions feels awkward now. However, I am used to this in person learning. Blogging was something I missed from last year. Now, I hope to avoid procrastinating and stay proactive to document my progress. The new school year gives me a breath of fresh air. My workload at school has lightened up, so I should have more time and effort able to dedicate to this class. So far, we have been moving at a slow pace in the class.
