Scene 1

  • [Writer walks in room and sits down at desk. Begins to write and type frantically. Many hours pass.]
  • Diegetic sound-Footsteps, keyboard typing, and scribbling pen.
  • [Writer sighs loudly.]
  • Internal dialogue-"What to do, what to do. If only there was some way to get inspiration."
  • [Writer begins furiously writing. He throws many crumpled up papers of rejected ideas into the bin.]
Scene 2
  • Outdoors during the evening. (Ambient Sounds of the night.)
  • [Writer can be seen taking a short walk.]
Scene 3
  • Writer returns to the desk with a glass of water.
  • [Rapidly types on keyboard.]
  • Writer- "Wait.... What is this?" [Finds virtual idea generator."
  • [AI begins to generate ideas.]
  • [Writer eagerly begins to write and type using the computer.]
  • [Mysterious noise from back cabinet.]
  • [Writer turns and stares]-What was that?
  • [He approaches a glowing light. As soon as he touches it he falls unconscious.]
Scene 4
  • [Wakes up in outdoors]
  • Writer-"Hmm...? Wha.....?"
  • [Turns around and observes surroundings.]
  • Writer-"So much for inspiration. Hope this is a good change of scenery."

Production and Transportation

 Although we are eager to begin working, our group has been very slow to progress. Each of us has been very busy with school and tests, leaving less time that we can all congregate to consistently film. We also have additional extracurriculars that limit the opportunities we have from meeting up together. Now this would be nearly impossible if we had to rely on our parents to drive us from place to place. It would also inconvenience everyone if we try and make a small adjustment to our schedules. Luckily, Maximus is eligible to drive and was planned drive us to our filming locations. These would include his and Jibril's houses. After this planning earlier in the year, we had expected our meeting dates to be flexible with this in mind. Unfortunately, the unexpected has constantly struck. For example, the car had to be repaired in the shop and was unavailable for about a week. Again, this left us with less available time for production of our film. Planning: Storyboard

Scenes 1-6 In the beginning of the film, the first shot will establish the dark setting of the scene. It will be an establishing shot that tilts on a street to show the moonlight night and a small suburban neighborhood. The next three scenes introduce the interior of the house and the victims of the killer's first crimes. Scenes 7-12 The main protagonist will come home, sensing that something is not right, and wander a quiet home. He will soon make the discovery that his family was murdered and will fill with vengeance. Scenes 13-18 The father of the family will use the police to ask for help finding the, but with no luck. After some time passes, we can still see the emotional trauma the loss has caused. We feel that this helps develop the character. Scenes 19-24 The father, now motivated to avenge his family, will recruit his friends for help and take matters in their own hands. They will find evidence that will begin a chase for the killer. Recurring Issues

Today we faced challenges during our shoot. One of the biggest challenges was getting the right shot under the right conditions.   There were times when we had to wait for the perfect lighting or weather conditions, which could take hours. Even when we had the right conditions, it could take a long time to get the perfect shot. One example of this was when we were filming a particular scene outside in the park. We had to wait for the sun to set just enough to create the desired effect, and then we had to make sure the camera was in the right position to capture the shot. It took about an hour to get just one shot under those conditions, but we knew it was worth the effort to create the desired effect. We also had to contend with other factors like noise and distractions from passersby, which could ruin a shot if not handled properly.
