Group Blog
I will most likely work on this project independently. Having another partner would help during production, but it would take some coordination to have all of our resources and ideas together before we started and to get a satisfactory result. Working solo for most likely mean that I want to spend a lot more time planning for the filming and taking a lot more time for editing to learn the effect to apply them to the video correctly so I can get the best result possible. Considering we have a Thanksgiving break in between this project, we would be able to work on it then. Although we are not required to work during our days off will help greatly with the time management and pacing of blog and most people will be available during this time. Previously I had struggle the most with filming. It was hard for me to keep a steady camera and still capture the same shots without casting a large shadow. I might need to find new equipment or try to come up with new ideas to film and get many takes of the same scene. I can get innovative with this and use strings, levers, wheels and all sorts of things to move cameras around while I might do the most of the acting or appear in most of the video. Editing independently will also be time consuming. Synchronizing a song with a video will have to take a lot of footage to consistently edit at points that suit the exact sounds in the songs, such as a crescendo, a drum beat, or a bass drop. At least one working independently I won't have any disagreements over the song or the plot of the video. This project will definitely be a challenge as I work on my own. Compared to any other examples that were shown in class cancel all group projects with three or more students. I will not have these numbers, I have myself to do the camera work and the acting so it's going to me that shots might be closer to me as I can only use hand held devices for shots will not tracking from distances. Regardless, I plan to look for some electronic music without lyrics so I can focus more on a plot and the sounds of the song to synchronize with any sort of visuals. I'm still debating whether or not we should be more upbeat video or gloomy ominous music video. Given today's audience and might be best to connect with the viewer by doing the more of the video that they can all smile over a dark set of scenes that will leave them deeply thinking about what they just witnessed.
