Intro Blog (Final Exam)

 My name is Alec Zamudio, and I am a 10th grader at Fort Lauderdale High School. I deeply enjoy creating unique artistic projects. However, I sometimes think that these aspirations are not plausible with my time and experience. Hopefully, I can learn and apply my knowledge for this project.  Especially since I have just short of two months to complete this project, I will  have time to make adjustments and adapt my ideas. I am slightly nervous in starting the Final exam for Media Studies AS Level. I took as many notes as I could and made sure I thoroughly understood everything that was to be done in this project. In designing a two-minute opening sequence, there will be a lot involved. Already, I am struggling to think of ideas that are unique but most importantly, practical. However, I am also excited on having to create my own opening sequence from scratch. I will have to complete all the steps of the filmmaking process in its entirety. I want to have a captivating introduction to the plot, but want to have the production as simple as possible to making more time to put the finishing touches. These can be anything from adding a simple prop in the scene or adding a special effect in editing. The minor adjustments can make a world of difference in the final product. I have some good ideas for music and other sounds, but I am not sure how long they might take considering all of the communications needed to get permissions. If I message an artist or musician, how long would it take if I even got a response? These questions are racing through my mind. My goal for the first stages of this project will be to find an idea that I am satisfied with. Then, I will gather all the equipment, props, and other supplies I will need to produce before production. This way, I can start  filming as soon as possible. I want to work ahead of time and avoid procrastination to ensure quality in my work.

Production and Transportation

 Although we are eager to begin working, our group has been very slow to progress. Each of us has been very busy with school and tests, leaving less time that we can all congregate to consistently film. We also have additional extracurriculars that limit the opportunities we have from meeting up together. Now this would be nearly impossible if we had to rely on our parents to drive us from place to place. It would also inconvenience everyone if we try and make a small adjustment to our schedules. Luckily, Maximus is eligible to drive and was planned drive us to our filming locations. These would include his and Jibril's houses. After this planning earlier in the year, we had expected our meeting dates to be flexible with this in mind. Unfortunately, the unexpected has constantly struck. Final Day of Filming?

  The last day of filming for our horror/thriller movie was approaching, and Jibril, Max, and I were determined to get everything we needed. We had a list of shots we still needed to capture, and we wanted to make sure we had enough footage to work with in the post-production process. We arrived early on the last day of filming, eager to get started and make the most of our time. We divided up the remaining shots among ourselves and worked efficiently to capture each one. We had to be creative in some instances, improvising shots when we couldn't get the exact angle we wanted. We also had to work around some unexpected obstacles, such as poor weather conditions and equipment malfunctions. We remained focused and determined, keeping our eye on the prize of creating a quality horror/thriller movie. After a long day of filming, we were finally able to capture everything we needed. We can see the names of the main actors. Finally, we see other staff, including the composer. and the director. What images are prioritized in the opening sequences? The images in the opening sequences show many shots of a cartoon style of spaceships and celestial bodies. We can see extreme close up shots of a mechanical games. The pieces, gears, and art of the old fashioned frame itself are all visible. This is meant to showcase the board game and we can assume that it plays a major role in the plot. What connotations do these images carry? The big red button with the word "Go" implies that there will be a sudden burst of events that set the plot into motion.
