Schedule

From March 5-15, I will begin filming. By then, I hope to already have all the equipment I need for at least the first 80 seconds of the title sequence. Anytime during this weekend or within the next 7-10 days I will shoot all of the scenes that are inside of my home. One benefit of filming inside is that I can film at virtually any time.

From March 16-21 I expect to have all of the outdoor scenes. I will continue repeating to get the best result.

From the 21 to the 28 I will have hoped to finish the first round of everything. From here to 4/13, I will give this to a family member to review. Afterwards, I will review the sequence and make any finishing touches.


Location

The beginning of the sequence will most likely take place in my own house. I plan to ha some scenes take place in my bedroom by a desk. Additionally, I would be moving throughout the house and through a hallway into a kitchen. For the concluding scenes, I plan to move outdoors to a more scenic landscape. Attached are the main areas in my room where I will be filming.

Health and Safety

Although none of the scenes present any possible risk of injury, I have made some precautions. To ensure my safety, I have a first aid kit on standby. This is equipped with bandages and alcohol wipes. In case of a more sever emergency, I have my phone on standby to call emergency services.

Backup Plan

In case of an emergency, I can film in my dining room. It has a table, but it is in a high traffic area. However, I can try filming during night with less interruptions and use artificial lights.

 Although we are eager to begin working, our group has been very slow to progress. Each of us has been very busy with school and tests, leaving less time that we can all congregate to consistently film. We also have additional extracurriculars that limit the opportunities we have from meeting up together. Now this would be nearly impossible if we had to rely on our parents to drive us from place to place. It would also inconvenience everyone if we try and make a small adjustment to our schedules. Planning: Storyboard

Scenes 1-6 In the beginning of the film, the first shot will establish the dark setting of the scene. It will be an establishing shot that tilts on a street to show the moonlight night and a small suburban neighborhood. The next three scenes introduce the interior of the house and the victims of the killer's first crimes. Scenes 7-12 The main protagonist will come home, sensing that something is not right, and wander a quiet home. He will soon make the discovery that his family was murdered and will fill with vengeance. Scenes 13-18 The father of the family will use the police to ask for help finding the, but with no luck. After some time passes, we can still see the emotional trauma the loss has caused. We feel that this helps develop the character. Scenes 19-24 The father, now motivated to avenge his family, will recruit his friends for help and take matters in their own hands. They will find evidence that will begin a chase for the killer. Recurring Issues

Today we faced challenges during our shoot. One of the biggest challenges was getting the right shot under the right conditions.   There were times when we had to wait for the perfect lighting or weather conditions, which could take hours. Even when we had the right conditions, it could take a long time to get the perfect shot. One example of this was when we were filming a particular scene outside in the park. We had to wait for the sun to set just enough to create the desired effect, and then we had to make sure the camera was in the right position to capture the shot. It took about an hour to get just one shot under those conditions, but we knew it was worth the effort to create the desired effect. We also had to contend with other factors like noise and distractions from passersby, which could ruin a shot if not handled properly.
