What titles are displayed during the opening sequences?

In the sequence, we first see the title of the movie. However, the order takes an unusual twist. Normally, the "directed by" followed by the directors' name is the last thing to be shown. However, it is the first credit to be shown. Finally, we can see all of the main actors and staff credits.

What images are prioritized in the opening sequences?
The images in the title sequence depict many different landscapes. Some of these depict a post apocalyptic world and frightening locations. There is also a recurring alien face as the face of an island to the array of aliens in the final scenes. These given characters are represented by their silhouettes that make their exact identity unclear.

What connotations do these images carry?

The images of the post apocalyptic world suggests that a devastating event will happen or has already happened and that maybe this adventure would be about the survival of the characters at the risk of many lives. There is also a shot of a seemingly alien nest of eggs hatching. This implies that there will be an ominous alien presence in the film. 

How does the film establish a feeling of the genre from the outset?
Genre is established from the varying settings. The film transitions from a desert to the depths a dark cave. Then we are transported to the post apocalyptic world, jungle, and an icy mountain range. This succession of setting implies that there will be an adventure in between all these terrains.

What strategies are used to ensure film appeals to its target audience?
The film uses the aliens and a post apocalyptic world to grab the attention of a science fiction movie. The different colors suggest different moods, such as the red and black for a dark, almost scary tone and the light blue mountains for a brighter, adventurous tone could bring all kinds of viewers together.

How has technology been used effectively? You want to consider camera angles, transitions, and editing techniques.

The sequence probably used a powerful animation software to create the different locations and transitions. There is also a unique series of camera movements, with a camera rapidly panning and zooming throughout a completely virtual setting.

 Although we are eager to begin working, our group has been very slow to progress. Each of us has been very busy with school and tests, leaving less time that we can all congregate to consistently film. We also have additional extracurriculars that limit the opportunities we have from meeting up together. Planning: Storyboard

Scenes 1-6 In the beginning of the film, the first shot will establish the dark setting of the scene. It will be an establishing shot that tilts on a street to show the moonlight night and a small suburban neighborhood. The next three scenes introduce the interior of the house and the victims of the killer's first crimes. Scenes 7-12 The main protagonist will come home, sensing that something is not right, and wander a quiet home. He will soon make the discovery that his family was murdered and will fill with vengeance. Scenes 13-18 The father of the family will use the police to ask for help finding the, but with no luck. After some time passes, we can still see the emotional trauma the loss has caused. We feel that this helps develop the character. Scenes 19-24 The father, now motivated to avenge his family, will recruit his friends for help and take matters in their own hands. They will find evidence that will begin a chase for the killer. Recurring Issues

Today we faced challenges during our shoot. One of the biggest challenges was getting the right shot under the right conditions.   There were times when we had to wait for the perfect lighting or weather conditions, which could take hours. Even when we had the right conditions, it could take a long time to get the perfect shot. One example of this was when we were filming a particular scene outside in the park. We had to wait for the sun to set just enough to create the desired effect, and then we had to make sure the camera was in the right position to capture the shot. It took about an hour to get just one shot under those conditions, but we knew it was worth the effort to create the desired effect. We also had to contend with other factors like noise and distractions from passersby, which could ruin a shot if not handled properly.
